When a shining Star begins to fade...

Fr. Martin Akpan

When a shining Star begins to fade,
Light and glory go with it.
Though we know that stars do fade
But that can only happen in the morning
Not in the darkest of nights!

What will give us light again,
When our Star fades in the night?
Why didn’t it fade in the morning;
When sunlight will replace it?

Truly, the Father of all

Young beautiful girls were receiving formation,
From the rays of this Star!
Italy and Europe searched for the best,
In the rays of this Star!

Children were his favourite!
Fr., Biscuit! Fr., Sing! Fr., Dance!
And he sang; Oh you Star,
I know you still shine one.
But the clouds have only covered you.
With the Witness Members of the Holy Family

Kidney? No! God Called!
For only He created the Star
And only He created the clouds.

Shine for God; that is what is best for Him!
Your sacredness, you kept till the end.
Before the end, your received Him in your mouth,
And eat the Bread of life!
Live on, Padre Martino!

  2. It's hard to believe you are gone.. Very sad to phantom. How painful it is to face the reality of not seeing you again. Rest on great man. May your soul find peace with your Creator. Good night Don Martino
